Caring For Your Pastel Clothes

Always follow the care label instructions on your clothes.   In general, clothes are best washed in cold water to prevent shrinkage and it is best to avoid fabric softeners as this can dull colour.

We like to dry our clothes in the air & sun.  Using a dryer can cause your clothing to wear over a long period of time.

Check the care label to see if it provides hanging tips.   We recommend hanging dresses, jackets and delicate garments so that they won’t stretch over time.   Store knitted garments and T-Shirts by folding them.  This will help prevent stretching over time. 

Wear your piece with love and care.  Knitwear and satin styles may pull a lot easier when sitting or leaning on anything that has a slightly rough surface. Bags and jewellery may create pilling to the fabric, so take care when selecting your accessories that they won’t get hooked and pull threads in clothes. 

Pastel Colours

The pastel colour palette consists of soft, muted tones created by adding white to basic hues.

Main Pastel Colour Palette Shades:

• Pastel Pink/Rose: Blush pink, shell rose, baby pink, cotton candy, powder pink.

• Pastel Blue: baby blue, sky blue, periwinkle, ice blue, powder blue.

• Pastel Green: Mint green, seafoam green, sage, pistachio, apple green.

• Pastel Purple/Lavender: Lilac, mauve, violet, lavender haze.

• Pastel Yellow/Orange: Lemon chiffon, pale yellow, cream, peach, apricot, cantaloupe.

• Neutral Pastels: Beige, pale grey, dusty rose, cream.

Variations of Pastel Palettes:

Pastel Rainbow -  A mix of multiple light, desaturated colours.

Vintage/Muted Pastels - Desaturated, soft tones with a slightly greyish tint.

Bright Pastels - Higher saturation pastel shades (e.g., candy colours).

Neon Pastels - Light but vibrant, almost luminous, soft shades.

Classic Pastel -  Baby blue, pastel pink, mint, pale yellow.

Romantic/Floral - Lavender, mauve, blush pink.

Fresh/Minty - Mint, spearmint, pale yellow, pale turquoise.

Warm/Sunset - Peach, apricot, cream, pale pink.

Earthy Pastels - Sage, beige, muted mauve, dusty blue.
